Megafest Northern Region celebrates excellence

Ndlovu called on the business community to continue striving for excellence, saying success was not final and failure was not fatal, but it is the courage to continue that counted.

INDUSTRY and Commerce minister Nqobizitha Mangaliso Ndlovu has commended the business community for ‘outstanding contributions’ to the country’s economy.

Speaking at the Megafest Northern Region Business Awards ceremony held in Harare last week, Ndlovu commended individual contributions that made a significant impact in their respective fields.

“Your tireless efforts, unwavering commitment and relentless pursuit of excellence have brought us to this moment. This awards ceremony is a testament to the power of human ingenuity, creativity and perseverance. It is an opportunity to come together, inspire one another and acknowledge the progress we have made,” he said.

Ndlovu said the awards ceremony marked Megafest’s 16th anniversary which brought together business leaders, entrepreneurs and stakeholders to celebrate excellence and recognise outstanding achievements across various sectors.

“As Megafest commemorates its 16th anniversary, it is a time to reflect on the remarkable journey that began with a vision to cultivate a vibrant ecosystem where businesses could thrive, innovate and collaborate.

“Over the years, Megafest has emerged as a powerful catalyst for celebrating entrepreneurial spirit, honouring industry trailblazers and recognising outstanding achievements across various sectors,” he said.

Ndlovu called on the business community to continue striving for excellence, saying success was not final and failure was not fatal, but it is the courage to continue that counted.

“As we embark on a new year, remember that success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts. Let us continue to push the boundaries of what is possible and inspire future generations to do the same,” he said.

The ceremony saw Top 20 business nominees in the northern region being awarded for their outstanding contributions to the economy.
