Man recovers vehicle after tyre puncture

Midlands provincial police spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko confirmed the incident that occurred on Tuesday.

A ZVISHAVANE man was lucky to recover his stolen car when thieves dumped it after one of the tyres developed a puncture.

“The complainant, Julius Biggie, a man aged 32 of Izayi Park, Zvishavane parked his Toyota Funcargo in his yard and retired to bed,” Mahoko said.

“The following morning at about 6am, he woke up to discover that the motor vehicle was missing. The vehicle was however, recovered in Mandava area, Zvishavane, where it was dumped after it developed a tyre puncture.”

In a separate case, Mahoko said another Zvishavane man, Sheunopa Mashavidze (40) of Makwasha suburb parked his grey Toyota Noah registration number AEM 2219 in his yard at around 7pm.

Mashavidze then left for work but found the vehicle missing after he returned home the following morning at around 7am.

Mahoko appealed to anyone with information which can lead to the recovery of the vehicle to report to the nearest police station.
