BULAWAYO-based non-governmental organisation D'ineiru Finance, owned by a group of youths in Bulawayo, has rolled out initiatives aimed at funding emerging young entrepreneurs.
In an interview last week, D’ineiru Finance co-founder Craig Ntuliki told Southern Eye that the aim is to assist youths by linking them with well-established business people in the country.
“D'ineiru Finance was started in 2019 and registered officially in 2020 as a trading company. As time went on, I became a partner because I realised that I shared the same goal: To link youth entrepreneurs who need financial assistance with big business people in Zimbabwe.
“We have approached business moguls like Mthabisi Moyo, who owns mines and farms in and outside Bulawayo and Bulawayo-based entrepreneur and businessman Dumisani Ncube. We are yet to approach other big business people like Sakunda Holdings founder Kudakwashe Tagwirei, businessman Busisa Moyo and Zanu PF secretary for administration Obert Mpofu, among others,” Ntuliki said.
He said for individuals to qualify they need to have great ideas which will convince sponsors to fund their projects.
“We welcome youths who come up with great ideas and as an organisation; we act as the middlemen to link the sponsor with the entrepreneur. We ask individuals to come up with proposals of whatever business they wish to do. When an entrepreneur brings a proposal, we then analyse and see if it is worth it,” Ntuliki said.
He added that the organisation also offers mentorship services on foreign currency trading and online investment to youths who aspire to become traders.
