Handcuffs hanged in cell
A 23-YEAR-OLD man of no fixed abode has been remanded in custody for allegedly robbing a 19-year-old female student at Africa University.
Rumbidzai Shumba lost a laptop bag at knifepoint during the robbery.
Given Sibanda appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Nomagugu Maphosa on Thursday facing robbery charges.
He was remanded in custody to October 13.
The court was told that on September 28 in a bushy area near Amakhosi Theatre, Sibanda and his accomplice, who is still at large, robbed Shumba of her belongings after threatening to kill her.
Shumba identified Sibanda at Mzilikazi Police Station after he was later arrested for a different case.
