According to ZRA’s latest hydrological update, the Kariba reservoir’s water level has been steadily increasing, with a current reading of 476,39 metres above sea level.
In an update on the hydrological outlook at Kariba Dam, the Zambezi River Authority (ZRA) yesterday said river flows into Zambezi River were decreasing rapidly.
The project scope includes construction of the dam wall for US$1,4 billion, power station at US$1,3 billion and other aspects giving a total of US$4,5 billion.
ZRA Chief Executive, Munyaradzi Munodawafa said the Council of Ministers Resolution needed to be fully implemented to effectively regulate utilisation of water.
