A collection of Bulawayo house music wheel spinners and producers under the tag Chronicles of House Nation (COHN), have been invited for the maiden Windhoek Entertainment Festival Volume 1 set for April 29 to May 1.
The event organised by Embrace Africa will be hosted at the Sam Nujoma Stadium, in the Namibian capital. Food, drinks, music, jumping castle for kids, fashion and clothing will be major highlights at the festival.
COHN has made a mark in the fun loving city of Bulawayo as they host Sunday Chillas events where revellers are treated to deep house music sessions in the high density suburbs..
Speaking to Standard Style, the event organiser Denis Phiri of Embrace Africa said all was set for the first edition of the festival.
“It’s an exhibition for companies and individuals in the entertainment industry, such as bars, clubs, equipment hire, event planners etc. Also, it will have musical concerts that will be featuring both local and international artists, creating room for collaborations,” he said.
“It will be a themed (All White or Black) social event that will see people of all age groups from around Namibia and abroad coming together to socialise in one place and the stall exhibitors will get to make income and market their businesses. Also, creating awareness on child mothers and teenage pregnancy.”
The festival will also be used to advocate against early pregnancies and educate young mothers in Namibia under the theme Save a Namibian Girl Mother.
