Following the release of Low Key last month, pop star MJ Sings has dropped Temper. The song, which still explores themes of relationships and navigating unions, is poised to be a hit.
This time around, teaming up with R&B artist Lord Edward, Hip Hop sensation Boy Nino, and long-time production collaborator and award-winning producer Murphy Cubic, they've created a groovy Afropop/Afrobeat blend with R&B. MJ Sings' velvet yet subtle voice is complemented by a melancholic rap delivery from Boy Nino.
The self-explanatory titled song depicts the unspoken lows in a relationship and the trust issues that arise, highlighting how they can detrimentally impact the relationship's progress or lead to its demise.
"A tale of trust issues and insecurities, Tempe' narrates the exhaustion, toxicity, and mental strain of constantly being accused by your partner," says MJ Sings.
MJ Sings' songwriting and singing talents have been recognised and appreciated by music critics and broader audiences worldwide, with comparisons drawn to his biggest influence, Usher Raymond, and South African talents like Ringo Madlingozi and Ntando.
