Sungura legend Alick Macheso is lined up for a stellar December gig guide, with 15 different performances scheduled for the festive month.
Macheso closed out November in style, performing at the Rufaro Stadium yesterday for the Chibuku Super Cup final between Dynamos and Ngezi Platinum.
He will perform in Harare, Masvingo, Shurugwi, Penhalonga, Marondera, Chinhoyi, Mutoko, Kwekwe, Zvishavane, Beitbridge, and Esigodini.
Macheso's publicist Tich Makahadze said the shows were an annual occurrence.
“At the end of the year, we hold these shows across the country for fans to celebrate with their icon,” he said.
Macheso is currently on a national tour to promote his 13th album, Kupa Kuturika.
The album launch, held at Alex Sports Club, was a huge success.
The album features tracks such as Kuverengera, Undiregererewo, Zvichada Hama, Murangarire, Kunditaya, and Hunhu Hwakashata.

Macheso has adopted a unique strategy for this six-track album, releasing songs individually on his YouTube channel. So far, five tracks are available.
The album was produced by Bothwell Nyamhodera at Macheso's Alema Music in Chitungwiza, with Aaron Tomu as the engineer.
