AWARD-WINNING comedian, Ntandoyenkosi Moyo will host his one-man comedy show on September 29 as part of the Intwasa Arts Festival in Bulawayo.
"It's been a while since I have given my fans a special treat," said Moyo. "They've been complaining about the lack of original content and the repetition of old jokes by other comedians. I'm here to deliver something fresh and exciting."
The show’s title, Does It Really Matter?, reflects the challenges many people face in today's world, including economic hardship, mental health issues, substance abuse, and social problems. Moyo aims to offer a new perspective on life and encourage his audience to find meaning and purpose despite these difficulties.
“I'm trying to give people a fresh perspective on life. Despite everything you're going through, it doesn't matter at all,” he said
Moyo added that he has grown as a comedian since his last one-man show, adapting to the changing market and developing a better understanding of his audience's needs.
“It's been a while since I did a one-man special show. The market has changed, and people have a better understanding of comedy. As a performer, I've had to adapt to this shift in the market. We're now better branded and positioned to deliver what the audience wants,” he said.
“The show is part of the Intwasa Arts Festival in Bulawayo. We had to adjust the dates to align with Intwasa. Intwasa was the first festival to host comedy shows consecutively, and it's fitting to bring my show to this event in Bulawayo.”
He also emphasised that the show is not suitable for children, as it contains mature content.
