Xiddo releases new EP titled Better Days

“This EP is a prophetic title; I believe better days are coming for me,” he explained.

Gweru-based Zimdancehall musician Forward Maphosa (pictured), better known by his stage name Xiddo Chikandamina, released a new EP titled Better Days on Tuesday.

The EP features three Zimdancehall musicians: Mr. Zuva from Gweru, Fidel Country Boy, and Ndunge Yut. It contains eight tracks Hololo, One Love, Largest, Better Days, Over, Hossana, Nedzoi and Kathat,  featuring Fidel Country Boy.

The EP was produced by DJ Flames at Music Hub Studios in Gweru. In an interview with Standard Style, Xiddo said the new EP was inspired by the various experiences in his life.

“This EP is a prophetic title; I believe better days are coming for me,” he explained.

“The EP talks about my love life, what I’ve been through, and where I’m heading.”

Xiddo began his musical journey in 2018 and shared a bit of his career background with  Standard Style, explaining how he has become a Zimdancehall icon in Gweru.

“I have managed to collaborate with big names in the music industry, including Baba Harare, Andy Muridzo, Gift Amuli, Jah Master and Legion. Sharing the stage with other big musicians like Winky D has given me experience and exposure,” he said.

The EP was launched in Gweru on August 31, but Xiddo has since released one song featuring fellow Zimdancehall artist Mr. Zuva from Gweru. The remaining tracks were released on Tuesday.
