Caps United....................(1)1

Arenel Movers boosted their hopes of survival after posting their second consecutive victory against Caps United at Luveve Stadium, yesterday afternoon.

New coach Philani "Beefy" Ncube has proven to be the right tonic for the struggling Bulawayo side, masterminding yet another victory after they beat Herentals in Harare midweek with an identical 2-1. He credited his predecessor Farai Tawachera for building the side.

"It's not easy, it's never easy but one thing for sure is, we need to appreciate the man who started the project, unfortunately it was beyond our control. But a game is a game, we now need to focus on our next match against Bikita Minerals. We are done with Caps. What I only told the guys is that we lost three nil in the first half (of the season). Even if you win three nil or nine nil you get three points and we won 2-1," said Ncube.

Lloyd Chitembwe was displeased by the fact that they lost to the bottom side of the league. "Naturally it's very disappointing when you lose a match and moreso a match that you are expected to win with all due respect to Arenel. At the end of the day we were expected to win and we should have precisely done that," said Chitembwe.

Arenel moved to 17 points, one ahead of Hwange who now anchor the standings and take on Simba Bhora this afternoon.

In the 11 minutes Gabriel Dlodlo's  free kick drew the best out of CAPS United goalkeeper  Tonderai Matayaunga, when his well curled effort destined for the top corner was punched away by the goalkeeper.

CAPS United took the lead with their first short on target through William Manondo who scored his ninth goal of the season, with a volley inside the box from an Ian Nyoni cross six me before the break.

Two minutes later, Arenel Movers were awarded a penalty after Matayaunga had to commit and in the process fouled Lucky Nyathi.

Brian Jaravaza coolly converted from the spot, to draw Arenel Movers level and score his second goal in a space of four days.

Arenel Movers took the lead in the 48th minute after Timothy January broke free on the left side, his cut back was neatly tucked home by Lucky Nyathi. His effort took a deflection and went through the legs of Chapusha who attempted to clear his lines.

Arenel managed to hold on for a massive three points.
