Umahlekisa to host roast of Seagirl

Standard Style
Ntando Van Moyo will be the roast master, and part of the roast panellists will be musician and Seagirl’s friend Qeqeshiwe, Stewie La Savage, comedian Zwe, blogger Kuda Takundwa, human rights activist Thando Gwinji, B Metro reporter Langalakhe Mabena and Standard Style reporter Sindiso Dube.

BY STYLE REPORTER Umahlekisa comedy club will this month host the “roast” of musician Novuyo Seagirl  on June 24, dubbed the Roast of Seagirl.

The show will be held at the Hope Centre in Bulawayo.

The comedy roast will be the club’s third after the late Cal_Vin’s show and Ntando Van Moyo’s roast.

A comedy roast is a form of humour in which a specific character or guest is subjected to jokes to amuse the event’s wider audience.

Ntando Van Moyo will be the roast master, and part of the roast panellists will be musician and Seagirl’s friend Qeqeshiwe, Stewie La Savage, comedian Zwe, blogger Kuda Takundwa, human rights activist Thando Gwinji, B Metro reporter Langalakhe Mabena and Standard Style reporter Sindiso Dube.

Umahlekisa Comedy Club director Moyo said they want people to get to know more about Seagirl through jest.

“The roast was rescheduled from December to June and there have been changes on the panel,” Moyo said.

“We have added media personalities, Seagirl’s friends and we will be bringing out her ex-boyfriends as part of the panel.

“We are looking forward to having people come to celebrate Novuyo Seagirl and to know her through jest.”
