The producer of the drama Nicholas Goko said he was happy that his dreams are coming true.

“Words can’t explain what I am feeling right now,” Goko said.

“I am happy that my dreams are coming true bit by bit.

“What l have been wishing for all this time is exactly happening and l know that my dream of becoming the best film maker and getting exposure to outside countries film making production l am going to achieve it.”

Goko said the film portrays the impact of women abuse and other forms of domestic violence.

“It also shows disregard and lack of children’s rights and it reflects on some of the issues and effects of living and coping with epilepsy,” he said.

“It brings awareness of these hidden issues in our Zimbabwean community.”

“The message of the film will cut across all social classes and age ranges.”

Goko said Tozeza Baba was inspired by socio-economic challenges experienced in the country around 2009.

“It was written and directed by Oscar Lwalwe and co-produced by myself and Blessing Dirwayi.”

He said the production of the drama started in March 2021 and Tungundu Media recruited experienced actors and actresses.

“We also managed to hire production companies such as VT Studios and Gart Media with film /video equipment at no cost since we agreed contracts of getting some percentage after selling the product,” Goko said.

The scenes were shot in Harare’s Waterfalls and Sunningdale suburbs.
