When Baba Harare announced his decision to quit his popular jiti music, he received a backlash from fans.
However, it seems as if the criticism has become his centre of hope that he has a bright future in the gospel fraternity.
On New Year’s Eve, King David as he is widely known now sampled a new song titled Shame on You, slamming pastors and Christians for not dedicating their time to God.
Thousands of congregants who thronged City of Truth Church we're thrilled making the song a potential hit when it's released.
His dancing moves also left revellers pushed into the new year.
He then took his time to explain to the congregants saying he would not "die of hunger" because he has God on his side and that he made the best decision ever.
"Many people say I will not last longer and that I would die of hunger, but I am here at City of Truth that's where I belong and I have not gone anywhere," he said much to the delight of the congregants.
He thanked the church Pastor Aldridge Marufu for being a pilar in his life.
