All set for Nyamazi Bush Festival

The organisers liken it to the Victoria Falls Carnival and promise live music, DJ performances, outdoor activities, a diverse food market, and full bar facilities, all amidst the stunning natural backdrop of the Eastern Highlands.

The inaugural Nyamazi Bush Festival, a one-of-a-kind celebration of music, adventure, and culinary delights in Nyanga, promises a rich tapestry of unique cultural experiences that will pique your curiosity and inspire you to delve into the festival's offerings.

The organisers liken it to the Victoria Falls Carnival and promise live music, DJ performances, outdoor activities, a diverse food market, and full bar facilities, all amidst the stunning natural backdrop of the Eastern Highlands.

They also want to make it a permanent annual fixture over the Heroes holidays.

Those who like the cocktail of what's on offer, or some of it, will have the opportunity to discover if it lives up to the hype from August 10 to 12 when the festival takes place at Nyamazi Greens, a campsite in Nyanga.

Like the Victoria Falls Carnival, music will be the centrepiece of the Nyamazi fiesta.

Gemma Griffiths headlines on Saturday while other acts on the day are The Tribe, Mannex and Mogamilee, Albinism Konnect, and Fibovation.

Another favourite, Feli Nandi, is Sunday’s main act. The supporting line-up is the same on Sunday, with Bam Bam Madame and Tammy Moyo added to the list.

Deejays, Chucknosis, Spy, Kotwane, Bellaboom, and Paul will be spinning sets that cover a wide range of music genres.

The festival's soundtrack will be diverse and vibrant, from Afro-beats to jazz, reggae to hip-hop, and sungura to amapiano, promising an exhilarating musical journey.

Adrenaline junkies will be well catered for as the festival offers an array of activities, including quad biking, paintballing, and shooting.

Foodies and culinary explorers will delight in the gastronomic delights of the festival's food market, boasting over 20 stalls offering a range of cuisines from traditional Zimbabwean fare to international delicacies.

Nyamazi Green offers tent accommodation options, including serviced weatherproof canvas tents with camping mattresses and lanterns and a self-pitching "bring your own tent" option. The campsite is fully equipped with fresh water points, showers, and toilet blocks, providing guests with all the comfort of home.

For those who prefer brick-and-mortar accommodations, Nyamazi Green has partnered with local hotels, including Montclair Hotel & Casino and Brondesbury Park Hotel, as well as lodges and cottages in the area.

The establishments will offer tailor-made packages and discounts for festivalgoers.

The Nyamazi Bush Festival will be entirely cashless, ensuring comfort and convenience. With Advanced Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) festival tags, you can make seamless transactions across the festival site.

You load value onto your RFID tags either online or at designated top-up points and enjoy hassle-free spending on food, beverages, and merchandise throughout the event.

Secure parking is provided on the site, but for those festivalgoers who do not or prefer not to drive, Nyamazi Green will provide return luxury coach transport from Bulawayo and Harare, complete with trailers for guests to comfortably transport their festival essentials.

Early bird tickets and packages to the Nyamazi Bush Festival are now available with a 15% discount online at https://www.nyamazigreens.co.zw/bush-festival or through authorised ticketing agents across Zimbabwe.
