Zvishavane-based gospel musician Lenny Zuva has released his second album titled Nguva YaMwari as he seeks to entrench his name on the local gospel music scene.
Zuva, who is not a newbie in the industry, has previously collaborated with other big names in gospel music like Baba Mechanic Manyeruke and songstress Bethany Pasinawako.
Speaking to Standard Style, Zuva, whose first album Munouya Rini was produced in 2020, said gospel music was his way to preach the gospel and spread the good news.
“Gospel music is my calling and being a bona fide Christian, I take it as a tool to preach the good news at the same time spreading love and inspiring hope in our people,” he said.
“The new album follows my first album Munouya Rini in 2020 and other collaborations with Baba Mechanic Manyeruke and Bethany Pasinawako on some singles that did very well on the market.”
The new album, which was produced by Master Flexx at his Magic Land Studios preaches a message of hope encouraging people to wait on God even when the going gets tough.
“The song Nguva YaMwari is about holding on to the faith against all odds,” he said.
“The Bible says those who wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength and even with the numerous life challenges, we must wait upon the Lord.

“We have cases where some go for years without having kids, unanswered prayers and so forth but like the old adage says, God’s time is always the best and all that we desire happens in his set time.”
The title track is complemented by other equally good tracks namely Zvishamiso, Rufu, Anomira Newe, Psalm 23 and Muponesi, which all demonstrates God’s power even during hard times.
“With the other songs, the message was that even when things are hard for you, God shows up and for those who have lost hope, they must solidify their faith,” Zuva said.
“Even when Daniel was thrown in the Lion’s den, God came through for him.
“The song Rufu and Anomira Newe also highlights that we must continue to stick to God through the highs and lows of life drawing inspiration from his promises as shared in the song Psalm 23, which says the Lord is our shepherd and we will never lack anything,” he said.
A gifted music composer and vocalist, Zuva has continued on a steady rise with his music productions and accompanying video quality impressing many.
“I thank God for taking me this far with my talent and it is my hope that my message will inspire the next person to continue holding on to their faith and serve God better,” he said.
“We were all called for a purpose and the sooner we open our eyes to that reality the better.
“Let’s continue loving God and praising him through the good and bad times. When all is said and done, we have an after life to prepare for.”
