POPULAR entertainment joints under the Club Joy Centre franchise have rolled out an Easter weekend gig itinerary starting with shows in Chitungwiza and Highfield in Harare this evening.Club Joy Centre Fio, located at Machipisa shopping centre in Highfield, kicks off with a gig tonight which would be headlined by Papa Lodza with Nicholas Zakaria and Paradzai Messi entertaining patrons on Good Friday and Easter Saturday respectively.At Makoni shopping centre in Chitungwiza, Club Joy Centre plays host to Allan Chimbetu tonight with Peter “Dewa” Moyo on Good Friday.The Zim Select Band will wrap up the Easter fiesta on Sunday.Joy Centre Entertainment director David “Boss” Mudzudzu said all the shows were free of charge.“The shows are meant to celebrate the Easter holiday with our patrons,” he said.“We also use these shows as opportunities for musicians to meet and engage with their fans.”Easter gigs have become popular on the Club Joy Centre’s entertainment calendar.Known for bringing music to the grassroots through weekend open-air gigs at Club Joy Centre Fio and Club Joy centre at Makoni shopping centre, Mudzudzu said there was no better way to celebrate the long weekend.He said the joints would keep on bringing musicians throughout the year.
