ZANU PF gifts praise singers with cars

During the week, Holy Ten and Ricky Fire showed off their new and unmarked vehicles on their social media platforms, a few days after Mnangagwa was declared the winner of the elections.

THE ruling Zanu PF has gifted its loyalists and praise singers who used their social media pages and music as campaign platforms prior to the disputed August 23 elections.

Reports say Holy Ten, Kikky Badass and Ricky Fire are some of the artistes who were gifted with luxurious cars as tokens of appreciation for their participation in campaigning for Zanu PF and President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

During the week, Holy Ten and Ricky Fire showed off their new and unmarked vehicles on their social media platforms, a few days after Mnangagwa was declared the winner of the elections.

Holy Ten couldn't hide his joy of owning a brand new Range Rover, whilst Ricky Fire who switched lanes from the Citizens Coalition for Change to Zanu PF now drives a luxurious Volkswagen and Kikky Badass is reported to have been gifted with a Mercedes Benz.

A week prior to elections Mnangagwa's sons, Sean and Emmerson Jnr hosted a lavish luncheon for a number of artistes that included Enzo Ishall, Holy Ten, Ricky Fire, Michael Maggz, Doc Vikela, Bhutisi, Poptain Levelz, Fantan and many more.

Ricky Fire's sudden switch to Zanu PF surprised many as he used to tour Zimbabwe, perfoming at almost all Citizens for Coalition for Change rallies prior to the March by election in 2022.

Ricky Fire Rick went on to produce a song dubbed Kudya Yellow which features the party’s leader Nelson Chamisa on the chorus.

The Mnangagwas are linked to Scarfemore Records, a record label that has been financing many urban artists. Sources said the Mnangagwas through Scarfemore Records were the ones controlling day-to-day runnings at Chillspot Records hence artistes from there are booked at events linked to Zanu PF as well as artistes such as Enzo Ishall, Holy Ten, Michael Maggz and many more.

Meanwhile, Urban grooves pioneer  Stunner has blasted Zanu PF saying DJ Towers was more deserving a car than the ones who were gifted.

"If I don’t see a public thank you for Dj Towers then  haaaaa hakuna mabasa zveshuwa. Pihwawo mota mfanami ndiwe wekashanda Pa fair chaipo," said Stunner in a Facebook post.

DJ Towers was Passion Java's side kick who would praise Mnangagwa on a daily basis on his widely followed social media accounts.
