Rising golfer Vincent Chidambazina won his third amateur tournament in three as many months after scooping the Manicaland Amateur championship with an impressive 9 - under par 210 at Hillside Golf Club yesterday.
Chidambazina who hails from Chimanimani won the Matebeleland Amateur in April before bagging the Hillside Masters late last month and was once again the victor in Manicaland Amateur.
The teenage golfer shot rounds of 70, 68 and 72 in the 54 holes of the par 73 Hillside course and was a massive nine strokes ahead of the defending champion Michael Wallace who finished of level par 219.
Wallace is back in the country from the US where he was playing collegiate golf and was looking to retain his crown but a first round 77 made the job look difficult from the onset and could only manage 72 and 70 in the last two rounds.
Home favorite Braydon Amm, who is preparing for the British Open next month, failed to build on a magnificent 6 - under par 67 first round score after shooting 75 and 84 in the next two rounds respectively to close on 7 - over par 226 in third.
Chidambazina was delighted to have achieved his target of three tournaments this year with six months to spare.
"I feel so happy and grateful because I have fulfilled my dream. I wanted to win three trophies this year and I have managed to achieve it in a space of three months which pretty good and amazing to me," he said.
"For this is important considering where I came from and what I am doing now it is is a great achievement. It was a good weekend for me because the swing was playin. The other guys were trying to catch up with me especially today .

"I always enjoy playing here because this is my home course. I want to thank all those who are helping to prepare this course. It's a great pleasure to win here," he added.
Elton Zulu was in fourth place on 10 over par 229.
In the women competition US-based Margaret Nyamukondiwa was the winner after she finished on 8 - over par 227 in three rounds and was four shots ahead of Danielle Bekker while top amateur Batsirai Tilowakuti was third after grossing 244.
The Manicaland Amateur ran concurrently with the Manicaland Ladies Strokeplay and it was Bekker who got the better of Nyamukondiwa in the two rounds.
