Alistar Food Industries grows market share

Speaking to Standard Style, product development manager Alice Ruwuyu said the company had grown in leaps and bounds thanks to its product innovation.

Multi-award-winning food processing and distribution company, Alistar Food Industries has effectively grown its market share after introducing a range of market-tested and tailor-made products that are fast making an impression on the market.

Alistar Food Industries boast of quality products including the Nutrela super roller meal, Nutrela overnight maheu, Nutrela instant maheu, Nutrela baking powder, Nutrela bicarbonate soda, Nutrela soya chunks, Alistar soya chunks, Nutrela corn soya blend porridge, Nutrela porridge and Nutrela Maize samp that are fast making an impression on the market.

Speaking to Standard Style, product development manager Alice Ruwuyu said the company had grown in leaps and bounds thanks to its product innovation.

“We are very deliberate in terms of our product expansion and reach, hence we have registered marked growth and market penetration since we started operations back in 2017.

Our product range includes Nutrela super roller meal, Nutrela overnight maheu, Nutrela instant maheu, Nutrela baking powder, Nutrela bicarbonate soda, Nutrela soya chunks, Alistar soya chunks, Nutrela corn soya blend porridge, Nutrela porridge and Nutrela Maize samp. In addition to the Harare plant and offices, we have also opened a new plant in Bulawayo designed to scale up production of the Nutrela and Alistar product range,” she said.

The company’s CEO Hatina Ruwuyu, who capped the year on a high after winning a Super Platinum award at the Zimbabwe CEO’s Network Top Companies awards, said they are on a positive trajectory as they continue tapping into the various opportunities in the local food industry.

“As our country continues to grapple with food insecurity due to the El Niño-induced drought, we are proud to complement both government and non-governmental organisations’ efforts in ensuring food security for all through our product range and services.
