Shamva man kills colleague over beer

Police warned people to respect the sanctity of life. 

A SHAMVA man allegedly fatally assaulted his friend following an argument over beer. 

Mashonaland Central police spokesperson Inspector Milton Mundembe confirmed the case. Allegations are that the incident took place December 9at Pawandiwa shebeen. 

"The police confirm the arrest of Simon Wande (26) in connection with a murder case which occurred on December 9, at Pawandiwa Shabeen Mine, Shamva," Mundembe said. 

According to police, Wande allegedly struck Tinei Pawandiwa (46) once on the head with a stone following a dispute over beer. The victim sustained severe head injuries and was rushed to Shamva Hospital, where he was pronounced dead upon admission. 

Police warned people to respect the sanctity of life.
