Econet gives away houses to customers

News
Speaking at the giveaway ceremony held at Penrose Estate in Nyabira, 30km north-west of the capital last Wednesday, Tariro Muchena, Econet’s general manager, marketing announced that this year's promotion would be even bigger and better than the 2023 campaign.

Econet Wireless Zimbabwe — which last week gave away eight brand new houses to winners of its iKhisimusi Sifikile, Kisimusi Yatosvika, Tapinda Sesingenile Christmas promotion 2023 — has promised that this years’ upcoming Christmas promotion will be “even bigger and better” than the just-ended campaign.

The listed company — the country’s leading telecommunications and technology firm — brought early Christmas cheer to eight winners of the popular promotion, with each lucky customer receiving a brand-new residential house, fully equipped with a home solar system and kitted with Econet Smart Home security.

Speaking at the giveaway ceremony held at Penrose Estate in Nyabira, 30km north-west of the capital last Wednesday, Tariro Muchena, Econet’s general manager, marketing announced that this year's promotion would be even bigger and better than the 2023 campaign.

“We are happy for the winners of the grand draw and delighted by the difference it has made to their lives,” she said.

“With our current (marketing) campaign entitled ‘I am living the difference’, our customers are truly witnessing the difference Econet is making in their lives, with some of them being able to own their own properties through this promotion, in which the levels of engagement were truly amazing,” Muchena said.

While congratulating all the lucky winners, Muchena thanked all customers who participated in the promotion, saying there was more to come in the next promotion.

“As we cheer the all the winners today, I would like to say that we are super grateful to all our customers for participating in this promotion,” she said.

“To the rest of our valued customers that did not get the opportunity to win a house, an all-expenses-paid-for holiday package, a smartphone, a gas stove, airtime or the thousands of cash prizes we gave away, all hope is not lost!

“This year’s Christmas promotion will be even bigger and better, with loads of exciting and life-changing prizes to be won.”

To participate in last year’s Christmas promotion, Econet customers were required to recharge their phones with a minimum of US$5. During the promotion period, the company gave away prizes worth more than US$350 000 to thousands of lucky customers.
