Maxwell Mago told Harare magistrate Ayanda Dlamini last week that he could give Anita Muchuwa only US$20 and not US$200 because she was wasteful.
A Harare man has accused his estranged wife of abusing funds meant for the upkeep of their minor child.
Maxwell Mago told Harare magistrate Ayanda Dlamini last week that he could give Anita Muchuwa only US$20 and not US$200 because she was wasteful.
“She uses the money I give her for the upkeep of our child to buy her stuff,” Mago said.
Mago said Machuwa approached him last week demanding money and he refused.
“It was that same week that she later came here to apply for an upward variation.”
Machuwa said she needed more money because of the ever increasing cost of living.
Dlamini ordered Mago to pay US$50 per month as well as school fees.
