Yadah FC veteran striker Ralph Matema missed a second minute penalty that would have guaranteed the team’s relegation survival as the Prophetic Healing and Deliverance-owned side played out a goalless draw with relegated Bulawayo City at Rufaro Stadium yesterday.

A win for Yadah, who had 38 points going into the match, would have seen them jump into safety with 41 points as Nichrut, who occupy the final relegation spot with 33 points, fell at home to Herentals with just two matches left in the season.
However, the point is huge in the Miracle Boys’ cause as they now need just a point to survive and may still do that should Nichrut fail to win both their finals two matches.
Now on 39 points, Yadah leapfrogged Bulawayo Chiefs into 12th place, a point above the league debutants.
Nichrut’s defeat also means that Dynamos, who were also in the relegation matrix, survive before they even play their potentially explosive league tie against Triangle at Rufaro today.
Meanwhile, in Kariba, Tawanda Nyamandwe and David Temwanjera scored a goal apiece in the first half as hosts ZPC Kariba beat relegation-haunted airmen Chapungu at Nyamhunga.
