Zimbabwe Golf is set to officially launch the 2024 All Africa Golf Team Championship at Bulawayo Golf Club next week.
The country will host this year’s edition of the continental competition from October 27 – November 2 and about 20 countries are expected to take part in the event.
Initially, the event was supposed to take place in Seychelles but they surrendered the right due to disruptive weather patterns in that country and Zimbabwe decided to step up to the plate.
And next Friday, Zimbabwe Golf will launch the event as well as stage the Legacy Golf Tournament next Friday.
“We cordially invite your organization to participate at the All-Africa Golf Team Championship 2024 Official Launch and Legacy Golf Tournament which will be held on Friday 16 August 2024 at Bulawayo Golf Club,” Zimbabwe Golf said in an invite for the launch and tournament.
“Once again, Zimbabwe is privileged to host the All-Africa Golf Team Championship, symbolizing the continent's advancing prominence in golf. Approximately 20 countries are expected to participate, underscoring the growth facilitated by robust golf development initiatives across Africa.
The All-Africa Golf Team Championship 2024 presents a significant opportunity for stakeholders to enhance their marketing and brand visibility. As a premier golfing event in Africa, it provides a platform for showcasing excellence and fostering connections within the golfing community,” they said.
The AAGTC stands as a bi-annual continental golf tournament, uniting golfing nations from across Africa in a display of sportsmanship and skill.
