Golf Zone: Three Toyota Urban Cruisers up for grabs

Toyota Zimbabwe, who are one of the sponsors of the event decided to spice things up by availing the vehicles for the events.

Three Toyota Urban Cruisers will be up for grabs  for the golfers who are going to shoot a hole-in-one in three Mogold Global Kenya – Zimbabwe Safari Golf Tour events which are going to be held in the country next month.

The unique golf event which is aimed at promoting tourism and strengthening cultural ties within Africa and the USA will start off in Kenya and wind up with a series of four-tournaments, at four different venues in Zimbabwe.

Toyota Zimbabwe, who are one of the sponsors of the event decided to spice things up by availing the vehicles for the events. Another local event which is part of the series is set for Borrowdale Brooke Golf Estate but there will be no vehicle up for taking.

“A rare golf tournament will be played in Zimbabwe in the festive season as the MoGold Global Kenya Zimbabwe Safari Golf Tour 2023 will have a possibility of three golfers getting car keys for brand new Toyota Urban Cruiser vehicles which will be on offer at the Chapman, Royal Harare and Elephant Hills Golf Course venues,”  MoGold Global Golf Tour tournament director Ephraim Mashingaidze said.

“The initiative is aimed at promoting tourism and enhancing cultural ties between and within Africa and the USA.

The tour begins in Kenya from 8th – 17th December 2023. The Zimbabwe tournament dates are Tuesday 19 December at Borrowdale Brooke, Wednesday 20 December at Chapman, and Thursday 21 December at Royal Harare Golf Club and Saturday 23 December at Elephant Hills Golf Club.

“It will be a special moment for any golfer to put your golf bag at the tee box, pull off the right golf club from the golf bag and make that right swing which will deliver the right flight , roll and drop into the hole for the biggest high fives a golfer can get and a grand prize of a brand new Toyota Urban Cruiser vehicle. Ladies and gentlemen, it can be done.

“Our gratitude goes to MoGold Global for presenting this grand opportunity for our golfers to experience this unique challenge and occasions which are usually presented at Professional golf tournaments worldwide.  Zimbabwe golf will certainly be kept appetized and the event will accord a lot of local golfers to experience this moment for the first time.

“As registrations have opened up confirmations are coming through, it will be a great golfing ambiance to play golf whilst engaging with diaspora golf stakeholders,” Mashingaidze added.

The MoGold Global Safari Zimbabwe - Kenya Golf Tour was launched in Harare back in October during an event which was attended by MoGold Global Operations Director Terence Marks as well as the country's ambassador to the United States Tadeous Chifamba, among Kenyan dignitaries.
