THE seven and eight-seater Hyundai Palisade checks all the appropriate boxes to guarantee that you travel in style and luxury, whether you have a larger-than-average family or just prefer the spaciousness and convenience of a big SUV.
It has been improved for the 2023 model year so that it better meets your requirements. Hyundai Zimbabwe has them for sale.
The Hyundai Palisade, the company's flagship SUV, has been redesigned for the 2023 model year in an effort to compete with high-end seven-seaters.
They intended to achieve this goal by giving the product a makeover and incorporating cutting-edge technology and a slew of capabilities that were previously offered as paid add-ons but are now included as standard.
For a while now, you can buy it in Zimbabwe. However, the SUV market globally is booming and accounts for more than half of all cars sold, so it Is reasonable to assume that the refreshed Palisade will be well received.
New look
The eye-catching new grille of the new Palisade makes it simple to distinguish it from the previous one.
Similar to the Creta, the Venue, and the Tucson, the traditional trapezoidal grille has been replaced with a dark chrome grille that has presence.

I could not help but conclude that the Palisade was designed with the American market in mind when I laid eyes on its imposing angular jaws.
The erect and squared-off silhouette makes no secret of this fact.
The grille is a bold centerpiece that is complemented by a pair of vertical headlights that have LED daytime running lights (DRLs) and are mounted at the point where the hood, the bumper, and the fender meet.
Attractive new side markings flash in sync with the indicators to give oncoming traffic notice of your intentions while driving at night. Alloy wheels with a diameter of 20 inches and sized 245/50R20 have been installed on the new Palisade.
Even though the Palisade still has an AWD system, the HTRAC system has been modified to perform better on loose roads and in bad weather than it does on dry pavement, as shown by the vehicle's tires.
The new Palisade's rear end is updated less drastically than the front, with the bottom bumper piece being the only visible difference. The redesigned Palisade seems more athletic than previously, thanks to a counterfeit diffuser.
Tech loaded
While earlier versions of Palisade were not exactly stingy with their technological bells and whistles, the newest one throws you headfirst into a technological whirlwind.
Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, which formerly required a separate connection, are now included in a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The new system is user-friendly and connects to a high-quality Infinity 12-speaker sound system.
Instead of the conventional analog gauge cluster, which I first saw in the far-future Staria, there is now a fully digital display. The customizable arrangement not only lets you choose which pieces of data to display but also triggers the side cameras whenever you use the turn indicators. This useful function is especially appreciated in a vehicle of this size.
Adaptive cruise control, blind spot warning, and pedestrian collision avoidance are just some of the standard driver safety features now standard on all models.
There are seven airbags installed, three of the rear seats are equipped with ISOFIX anchors, and the Smart Sense rear seat alert has a Safe Exit Assist that prevents the back doors from unlocking if incoming traffic is detected. Excellent for families with children who think for themselves.
Choose between an 8-seat layout or a 7-seat layout with pampered second-row passengers by installing a pair of heated and ventilated Captain's seats. The multi-zone automated temperature control has convenient ports for charging USB-C devices at every seat.
The same trusted engine
There is 2.2-litre turbodiesel, which generates 142 kW and 440 Nm of torque, is offered for the 2023 Palisade. This engine is trusted and will compete with competition on the market. It fulfills its purpose. Its low fuel usage is a boon, keeping your wallet safe. A 3,8 V6 Engine is also available.
A well-programmed and smooth 8-speed torque converter automatic gearbox remains coupled to it. The aforementioned HTRAC AWD technology distributes engine torque to all four wheels, and it comes with several settings for different types of terrain in case you ever leave the pavement.
I drove it for a few kilometres and I must say the main ride is very smooth and supple, soaking up even the worst bumps on the road with ease.
Pricing
One is a 7-seater and the other is an 8-seater; both have the same features and engines, but seating capacities vary. You will need to set aside US$79 942.00 for the diesel option and US$78 828.00 for the V6 engine. A 5-year/100 000-kilometre warranty is standard on both.
