In celebration of Italian cuisine in the world

The Italian embassy in Zimbabwe last week marked the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World at the SAHTC — The Hospitality School in Harare.

The Italian embassy in Zimbabwe last week marked the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World at the SAHTC — The Hospitality School in Harare.

To commemorate the week, the embassy organised a two-day workshop of mixology and wine tasting for students in the hospitality sector.

Sixty students attended the course, which was facilitated by two Italian experts in the two disciplines, namely Giovanni Tiso, an oenologist and sommelier of note, and Elia Dal Lago, a mixologist.

An oenologist is an expert in wine and winemaking, while a mixologist specialises in the craft of creating and mixing cocktails.
