AMBITIOUS Northern Region Soccer League side Golden Eagles have sacked coach Gilbert Mushangazhike with just six games into the campaign.
Golden Eagles announced the development yesterday in a statement saying Mushangazhike left the club by mutual consent.
This followed their nil-all draw against Banket Mine over the weekend, as they dropped to seventh position on the log standings.
Meanwhile, Mark Mathe has been named as interim head coach. He will lead the team until a substantive coach is appointed.
“Golden Eagles Football Club would like to officially announce the departure of head coach Gilbert Mushangazhike by mutual consent,” Golden Eagles said in a statement.
“The club expresses its gratitude to coach Mushangazhike for his hard work, dedication and contribution to the team during his tenure in charge and wishes him well in his future endeavours.
