Sungura musician Mark Ngwazi's lyrical prowess has charmed music lovers across genres, solidifying him as one of Zimbabwe's biggest emerging stars.

Ngwazi recently announced the launch of his new album titled, "Huzukwende," which will take place on June 29 in Dzivarasekwa, Padziva.

His previous album, "Nharo Nezvinenharo," propelled him to great heights, with hit songs such as "Hwahwa" and "Nyaradzo Yababa" making waves on the music scene.

Ngwazi has successfully maintained momentum, with fans eagerly anticipating his upcoming songs that have been circulating on social media.

His unique blend of Shona and English lyrics continues to captivate audiences.

Fans are still enjoying "Taurai Madzoka," a popular track from his "Chamugwegwedu" album.

His publicist Norman Theodore said the musician was working hard to make sure his fans are kept entertained.

“Huzukwende is a different package because the musician has done all his groundwork,” he said.

“I think you realise that some of the live show clips are sending fans into delirium and all I can tell you is the recorded version will be another thing.

He said they were leaving no stone unturned in making sure that fans enjoyed the upcoming album.

"Naturally, Mark is a good song writer and obviously with releasing albums he perfects his art and skill, Huzukwende is one of the best albums that are coming in 2024," he said.

While many have tried to compare him with Alick Macheso, the young musician said he was not competing with anyone but making sure that fans get the best music.

"Music is not for competition but for entertainment, people are going through a lot out there and they need to be entertained that is why we have decided to ignore some negative and toxic comments that came through when we announced our launch dates, all we want is for people to enjoy our music,” said Theodore.

He said they were finding ways to interact with their fans like they did last time.

"Last year we had a dancing challenge that was spearheaded by Five Star Car Hire Travel and Tours and people won several prices and this time the competition is going to be bigger and better.”

The car rental company CEO Tawanda Marwizi said they were going to support the musician.

"We will give him support because it's our mandate as companies to support our local talent as a way of giving back to the community," he said

Some of Ngwazi's albums include Nharo neZvinenharo (2022), Chamugwedumugwedu Chamatindike (2020), Mudzimu Wabudira Pambeveve (2019), Charger Yekatsono (2018), Gudo Muriwo (2017) and Zvandigumbura (2015)
