Hip-hop artiste Holy Ten (pictured) garnered most nominations for this year’s edition of the Changamire Festival awards to be held next Saturday at Mashwede Village in Harare.
The Banga hit maker was nominated 13 times followed by Saintfloew with 11. Voltz and Kikky Badass are each on eight while Bling is on 4 and Bagga has seven nominations.
Holy Ten is up for the best male, song of the year with two nominations Delilah, Ucharamba Uchipisa, best album Risky Life 2, best collaboration Ucharamba Uchipisa where he features Poptain and Michael Magz, Ihulumende and Machisa by UNKAT and Holy Ten.
The hip-hop sensation was also nominated for the best performance act, best hip-hop group or duo featuring Kimberly Richards and Michael Magz, best hip-hop video (Banga), peoples choice as well as most nominated.
Saintfloew had nominations in the best male, song of the year superstar, featuring Delroy Shewe, best album (Rise and Lead), best alternative song featuring Sorah TBH (Parikuda Munhu), best collaboration (Ihulumende) categories.
He was also nominated in the hip-hop verse of the year superstar verse, best coordinated hip-hop event (his album launch), best performance act, people's choice as well as most nominated categories.
Kikky Badass continues to rule the roost on the female side with eight nominations, while Young Gemini has three with Shashl being among the most nominated.
Radio personality Yayha Goodvibes was nominated for the alternative artiste and socialites category.
Changamire Festival Awards organisers also honoured Tatenda Jenami, aka Take Fizzo with a lifetime achievement honorary award for his contribution to the evolution of urban grooves sound into Zimhip-hop while William Last, aka KRM, was awarded the most influential socialite for his contribution in shaping the comedy industry.
Controversial businessman Wicknell Chivayo was honoured as a community champion for his contribution to the local entertainment industry.
