SOUTH AFRICA-BASED rapper and songwriter SlimPimp has resurfaced after a prolonged absence with a brand-new album titled Doors, which he describes as a stepping stone towards unlocking opportunities in his musical journey.
SlimPimp explains that the 13-track album serves as his reintroduction to the industry following a period of self-imposed seclusion aimed at refining his craft.
"Doors represents an idea that has been years in the making, not just the songs themselves," he elaborates," he said.
"The album signifies a comeback, especially considering that I began recording in 2010 before retreating into the background to meticulously sculpt and perfect my artistry. This hiatus resulted in me being somewhat forgotten. With Doors, I'm essentially declaring my unwavering determination to reach the apex, and I'm taking concrete steps to unlock every door that stands between me and my destiny."
The genesis of SlimPimp's album Doors stems from an unadulterated wellspring of art meticulously brought to life.
To breathe life into Doors, SlimPimp enlisted the talents of a diverse array of artists and producers, including Mlue Jay, Ston Uptown, 88 Gowd, K Trick, Red Eye, Tony, Viper Beatz, and Broskiboi. The album's recording, mixing, and mastering were completed at YeahWeLit Entertainment studios and K Trick productions.
Prior to Doors, SlimPimp released an EP titled Zero-Experience and an album titled Before you knew me.
With the latest album, SlimPimp is poised to reclaim his rightful place in the music industry, armed with renewed vigor, refined artistry, and an unwavering determination to achieve his goals.
