ORGANISERS of the Amapiano festival set to be hosted at Mashwede Village today say the event will pave the way for more festivals at the leisure joint.
South African artist Myztro ,who makes his debut in Zimbabwe, is widely known for his hit songs such as Kunkra, Ah Ah, 66 with Felo Tee, among other chart topping hits.
Mashwede Village Located along Highglen road near Glen View Furniture complex, is an entertainment centre comprising bars, various food courts, including Chicken Mash, Pizza Mash, Mash treats and also many other entertaining activities for the kids and adults.
Speaking to the Standard Style, DJ Iroq, one of the organisers said the festival is meant for house and Amapiano heads.
“This show is for Amapiano and house music heads that have been requesting and waiting for Myztro to come to Harare,” he said.
“We can’t wait for the festival; we have been preparing to give people a show that will forever be memorable in their lives.
“Myztro is ready to rock; he can’t wait to share his music with Zimbabweans.
“We will also have house music and Amapiano gurus such as Reverb7 and Ryan Synth from Bulawayo.
“The Travellers who will come in to add diversity into the festival as well as our local resident wheel spinners- DJ Luckie Dee and myself and the MC for the day will be MC Tats.”
DJ Iroq urged patrons to come to the venue early as Myztro will perform around 7pm.
“Fans should come to the event early. This is not a night event, but activities start off during the day and Myztro will perform early around 7. We want to give entertainment value to those who have early mornings and who will be going to work the following day,” he said.
The wheel spinner added that they would host many festivals this summer.
“We have more activities and festivals coming up. We have a lot of activities at Mashwede, we have a food court, flea markets and kids play centres and all these things should be utilised to come up with different themes of events and festivals.
We have food festivals, car festivals, music, and dance festivals in the pipeline all to promote local talent,” he said.
