DYNAMOS assistant coach Lloyd Chigowe has warned his players to brace for a Caps United backlash when the two giants face off in the Chibuku Super Cup semi-final at the National Sports Stadium on Sunday.
DeMbare dominated the two meetings in the league this term, beating their city rivals by a convincing 3-nil aggregate scoreline.
Chigowe admitted that Caps United have a burning desire to erase the memories of those two defeats.
“We are cognisant of the fact that Caps United are hungry, so are we,” said Chigowe at the club's weekly Press conference yesterday. "Naturally it's going to be a tough game but we will give it our all to make sure that the blue badge prevails.
"We always respect our opponents especially in a derby like this. Caps United will obviously be playing for pride and their lives because losing three times on the trot to Dynamos will be a total disaster. Unfortunately, Dynamos want it as well so it's going to be a harbinger of a match. Whenever we are playing a derby we have to be tuned on. This is probably the game that they have reserved for their best than any other so you never go to sleep in a derby."
Caps United have struggled to live with the pace of young exuberant players each time they have met.
Chigowe promised that Dynamos will suffocate their opponents with an attack of high proportions.
“Our philosophy is that we play attacking football. We will not change that for anything because we want that to continue. Even our junior teams we are branding them to play in the same manner. If it's effective, then why change it?”

Both teams go into this one with wind in their sails.
Dynamos won their last two matches against castle Lager Premier Soccer League log leaders Ngezi Platinum Stars and ZPC Kariba.
Caps United, on the other hand, have not lost a match since the 1-0 defeat to Dynamos on September 24. The Lloyd Chitembwe-coached side have played five matches since then, winning four.
Chigowe, is however, confident that they will burst the Caps United bubble.
"The group of guys we have here has significant talent but we are reminding them that talent alone without results counts for nothing. For us, there are eight games to go, and we are treating all those eight games as cup finals including the big match on Sunday.
"We have gone about our business very well. The team has been very focussed and obviously we expect that they cap it up with a trophy either in the league or in the Chibuku Super Cup tournament."
The Dynamos technical team is waiting for a fitness update on Elvis Moyo who has missed the team’s last two matches due to injury.
The defender only returned to team training yesterday.
