Babongile Sikhonjwa joins Star FM as DJ Ollah 7 exits the station

Radio personality and entertainer Babongile Sikhonjwa has joined Star FM, taking over the 6pm slot formerly held by DJ Ollah 7, who resigned last week.

RADIO personality and entertainer Babongile Sikhonjwa has joined Star FM, taking over the 6pm slot formerly held by DJ Ollah 7, who resigned last week.

DJ Ollah 7 shockingly resigned live on air to establish his own podcast — the Ollah 7 show which premiered on YouTube a few days after his resignation.

The station manager Steve Vickers, could neither deny nor confirm the reports.

"I can't confirm anything at the moment, check with me in a few days," he said.

However, Sikhonjwa hinted on his move to Star FM in a recent Facebook post stating: "Is it possible that I could be sounding good all the time?" This phrase echoes Star FM's tagline.

An insider told Standard Style that Sikhonjwa was expected to be unveiled as a new member of the station at the weekend.

DJ Ollah 7 had become a popular host of the On the Spot show, which attracted celebrities and featured celebrity news and gossip.

Sikhonjwa returns to the airwaves after a brief stint with NRT TV, where he hosted the breakfast show. Prior to that, he worked at Skyz Metro FM and Ke Yona TV in Bulawayo.
