HERENTALS striker Tino Benza is targeting a double-digit goal haul this season after picking up "valuable" lessons from his brief attachment in the United Kingdom.
Benza used the two-week mid-season break to go on a learning trip in Europe in a bid to sharpen his skills.
Having scored seven goals last season and providing 10 assists, Benza wants to better that record this time on.
With coach Paul Benza deploying him in a deeper role for much of this season, he has scored one goal but looks to improve those statistics as he returns to the tip of the attack.
"The most important thing at the end of the day is to be a valuable player for the team," he said after his team's 3-1 defeat to FC Platinum at the weekend.
On Sunday, he gave another good account of himself to the extent that even the FC Platinum fans acknowledged.
"I am a striker and I should score and provide goals for my team.
"I should try and improve my showing as a footballer. I need to score goals. That means, I should also help my team. I believe that I will better my statistics from last season. Actually, I am targeting to get double digit goals and provide as many assists as I can.

The attacker said his experience in the UK was an eye opener and good learning curve.
"I would like to thank my dad who is also the club president [Innocent Benza] for affording me an opportunity to learn from the best," he said.
"I was exposed to top-notch training methods and I grasped a lot of concepts. There are things that I learnt which I should always do as a striker.
"Look, every training session, I was learning something new because there would be different coaches on board.
"The set-up is modern and it makes learning easy. I am very confident that I will start delivering especially in front of goal."
Herentals are hoping to do better than last season where they finished sixth.
They made a few signings in the July transfer window and are targeting an improved show in the second half of the season.
