Caps United returned to winning ways in the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League thanks to a brace by new signing Lot Chiunga who scored in either half as the Green Machine made light work of newcomers Arenel Movers at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday.
The 37-year striker who was handed a starting role yesterday by coach Lloyd Chitembwe, repaid the faith by heading home the opener 17 minutes into the one-sided affair.
They almost doubled the lead at the stroke of halftime but Innocent Zambezi's effort cannoned off the woodwork.
Things got heated in the tunnel between the two teams' officials, leading to a 10 minute delay in the restart.
When action eventually resumed, it was Caps United who continued to dominate.
Zambezi's header from a corner kick on the hour mark was cleared off the line, but on 71st minute, the Green Machine increased their lead.

A shot by Phineas Bamusi was blocked by Arenel keeper Aron Ngwenya on to the path of Chiunga who showed a lot of composure to sweep the ball home.
The Bulawayo side, who were yet to lose a game before yesterday, were handed a way back into the match when Ralph Kawondera handled the ball inside the area, for the referee to point on to the spot.
Brian Jaravaza converted easily, sending goalkeeper Ashley Reyners the wrong way on 76th minute.
But any hopes of an Arenel comeback were dashed immediately when Kawondera atoned for his mistake with a headed effort to secure a victory which saw his side bouncing back from a surprise defeat to Bikita Minerals on Friday.
This was Caps United's second victory in four matches, taking them to third position on the log standings with six points, before Monday's round of matches.
Chitembwe praised his side's team effort.

“I just want to attribute the result to a very good team performance,” Chitembwe said.
“I think the application was very good. We did manage to create very good opportunities. But that has been always the case with us in recent matches although we have been very unfortunate in those moments where we could not take advantage of the opportunities. I’m extremely delighted with the fact that we managed to convert some of the chances it could have been a much bigger margin. I don't know how many times we hit the post and with a little bit of luck we could have managed to score more than we scored today. Overall, I think it was a very good team performance.”
