A GOAL in each half by Billy Veremu saw Bulawayo Chiefs end the 2021/2022 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League in style when they beat Yadah in a lukewarm match at Luveve Stadium yesterday.

Veremu easily tapped in the ball from a Elvis Moyo corner-kick in the 17th minute to beat goalkeeper Panashe Nyabangu for the lead.

Three minutes after the break, Veremu struck again from inside the box after he was set up by Perfect Chikwende.

The Ninjas ended the season on position seven with 49 points, ensuring a top eight finish in the league.

Coach Thulani Sibanda said he was happy to end the season on a high.

“It was a good game and finishing on position seven is an achievement considering we have never reached that high,” Sibanda said.

Yadah gaffer Genius Mangombe snubbed the post-match Press conference.

The first half was a dull affair despite that goal with little of action inside the penalty box and virtually no shot on target from either side.
