Zimcare Trust appoints new members

Zimcare Trust will be chaired by Tinanshe Manzungu, a philanthropist and prominent business leader

SIX distinguished Zimbabweans have joined the Zimcare Trust as new councillors of the organisation that is dedicated to caring for and educating intellectually challenged individuals.

Zimcare Trust will be chaired by Tinanshe Manzungu, a philanthropist and prominent business leader.

In a statement, the trust said it had appointed Patricia Glenda Kambarami, a dedicated professional with a Bachelor of Science Honours in Sociology, disability advocate and founder of St Christopher’s Children with Disability, as Manzungu’s deputy.

Other new members to the Trust include Pete Compton, Siniwike Tauya, Elsie Stevenson Mahlangu, Emily Manyere, and advocate Takudzwa Josiah Mafongoya.

“Their diverse professional backgrounds, experience across industries and boards, and unwavering commitment to the welfare of intellectually challenged individuals provides the right mix of innovation which will undoubtedly disrupt Zimcare Trust in a positive manner and enhance our ability to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve,” Manzungu said.

“Together, we are dedicated to furthering our mission of fostering inclusivity, empowerment, and opportunities for all members of our community.”

The trust said the new members would drive forward its strategic objectives, expand its reach, and ensure that intellectually challenged individuals receive the support and services they require.
