BY STYLE REPORTER SUNGURA musician Mukoma Panga seems to have mastered the art of video production if the latest visuals of the song Sadza Nemhiripiri are anything to go by.

Tomorrow, the charismatic musician will  release the video of the song Sadza Nemhiripiri and it will be accessible on various music online platforms, including YouTube and Facebook.

His maiden music video titled Panganayi, off his album Mbuva YeHwiza, was released two years ago and featured social media personality Madam Boss.

The production of the song demonstrated the technical and creative skills in Mukoma Panga and his production team.

Since then, Mukoma Panga has been churning out visuals that exude his great ambition and imagination.

He has done electrifying videos for songs such as Mai Mwana, featuring gospel musician Agatha Murudzwa and Uri Wangu, where he features Murudzwa and Madam Boss.

Sadza Nemhiripiri is a hilarious composition that needed to be accompanied by well-thought out and captivating visuals.

“The video was shot exclusively in Harare and it was directed by Naxo,” said Mukoma Panga.

“It features myself, Chipoko ChaSauro, Dispatch and multi-talented dance group from Chitungwiza directed by TraeAfrica.”

Sadza Nemhiripiri was released as a forerunner to the yet-to-be-named album set for release later this year.

Here the musician, born Panganayi Hare, employs satire, parody and a sense of humour in the lyrics.

Mukoma Panga said Sadza Nemhiripiri was not a novelty song, but inspired by a real life situation.

“Sadza Nemhiripiri is based on a true story,” Mukoma Panga told Standard Style.

“One day l visited a close friend and I was offered food with cheeky chilli-spiced relish and it was so hot, but I had to soldier on and ate the food while shedding tears because I was a visitor.

“To make matters worse there was no drinking water! The rest is history… we have the song today.”

With two albums – Mbuva Yehwiza and Pfimbi Yegudo – under his sleeve, Mukoma Panga has also had collaborations that produced hits.

Sadza Nemhiripiri was produced by Jabulani Ndlovu.
