A community based church, Changing Lives Global Church, has stepped in to utterly transform people through doctrine of change.
Based in Mainway Meadows, Waterfalls, the church believes in changing people’s lives through the preaching of the Word, prayer and personal development programmes that are run through various arms of the church.
“Changing Lives Global Church believes in raising a people who are not only relevant in spiritual affairs of this life, but a people who are relevant to their community by participating in various life transforming activities,” said Apostle Kudzai Mhasvi, the lead preacher in the church.
“Last year in November we held breast cancer screening and awareness at our church premises, which was attended by over 150 women.
“We have encouraged all our members to have driver’s licences, which saw over 40 of our congregants obtaining driver's licences during the last three months.”
As part of community engagement, particularly reaching out to vulnerable groups of people, Changing Lives Global Church distributed sanitary ware to the less privileged.
“We managed to visit over five schools in Waterfalls, Prospect and Retreat Park where we donated sanitary ware,” Apostle Mhasvi said.
“We believe that sanitary pads are a necessity because nature is not a respecter of persons whether rich or poor.”
Going forward, Changing Lives Global Church envisions becoming a solution centre for both spiritual solutions and practical initiatives to curb societal ills.
“In the next five years Changing Lives Global Church would have built a rehabilitation centre to deal drug abuse and house those children who would have been raised under conditions not suitable for them,” Apostle Mhasvi said.
“Our vision is to build a church, hospital and a rehabilitation centre in every community we get to reach.”
