Zimbabwe's music scene is set to shine brighter with the debut single Kummawa by Tribal Fusion vocalist JustLeo, featuring the iconic Djembe Monks. Born in the vibrant city of Bulawayo and raised in the majestic town of Victoria Falls, JustLeo is on a mission to showcase the beauty of African culture and the diversity of Zimbabwe through her music.

JustLeo's love for music began in Sunday school, where she discovered the power of melody and the joy of sharing stories through song. Over the past decade, she's honed her craft, performing soulful covers across Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Botswana while collaborating with various bands to find her unique voice.

"I've always admired the rich diversity of African cultures," JustLeo explains. "Through my music, I want to celebrate that richness, especially the beauty of Zimbabwe."

What sets JustLeo apart is her ability to sing in Ndebele, Shona, Tonga and Chewa, seamlessly weaving languages and rhythms to create a truly pan-African sound. Inspired by legendary artistes like Chiwoniso Maraire and Andy Brown, JustLeo doesn't shy away from addressing deep societal issues in her songs. From abuse and depression to love and divorce, her music resonates with listeners who seek both solace and joy in art.

Her latest single, Kummawa, is a fusion of tribal beats and soulful melodies that promise to captivate hearts. Partnering the Djembe Monks adds an electrifying rhythm that perfectly complements JustLeo's emotional depth.

Victoria Falls, her hometown, plays a significant role in shaping her artistic vision. "I'm inspired by Zimbabwe's beauty, its people, and our shared stories. I want the world to see the magic of Victoria Falls through my music and visuals," says JustLeo.

She's also inspired by contemporary artistes like Feli Nandi. "I love her authenticity, and she reminds me to stay true to myself as I share my voice with the world," she adds.
