MINISTRY works are merely a calling from God, that no man should not be condemned based on past experiences, but rather stands as a living sign that God lives, says South Africa-based gospel musician Prince Jordan (pictured).

Prince said every living man is a sign of grace and should find Christ in order to live a purposeful life.

“I had the desire to sing and preach the word of God from when l was a child,” he said.

“Today l sing music that carries messages that are centred on God's mercy to everyone on earth, we all live by his grace on a day-to-day basis.

“Now is the best time to draw close to him and repent from our sins.

“If God was to judge us according to our lives of ignorance the world will be wiped out clean but because he loves us let us also love him back as our father and others as brothers and sisters.”

Prince said he looks up to long serving gospel musicians for inspiration.

“My first inspiration song comes from Baba Manyeruke,” he said.

“The music l sing borders on gospel and passion.

“And to me the songs l sings come in the form of Afro-beat Blues and an experimental genre l am working on called Gallop Gospel, which I am sure will be accepted by many followers.”

Through collaboration with music producer KD 96 (real name Kudakwashe Nyamukapira), Prince has been able to live up to his dream of ministering to multitudes through music.

He explained: “God gifted me with a united music company which is based in South Africa, where l operate from.”

“The band comprises Zimbabweans and South Africans.

“It is amazing to work with such talented sisters, Pamela, featured on the song Jerusarema and Lee Morgan featured on Kumatenga.”

Prince said Christianity was more than a way of life that defines faith and  belief.

“As a devoted Christian, gospel music keeps me in a place near Christ and its fruits should be a marvel to all,” he said.

“Through the guidance of the Holy Spirit, l have penned down more than  46 albums ready to be recorded.

“So yes it is a calling because though I was not recording, but God never stopped giving me songs and inspirations for composing new songs.”

Prince is an electrical engineer by profession.

His latest album titled Ndinorumbidza is maiden studio project.

It carries eight tracks, including Matarenda,  Munenyasha, Nhasi Taungana, Jerusarema, Ndorumbidza, Mweya and Kumatenga.
