Singer Kae Chaps recently criticised a promoter, who had booked him for a show in Zambia.

The musician said he missed the event, dubbed Zim Link Up Zambia, due to the promoter's unprofessional behaviour.

"Because of the gross unprofessionalism displayed by the Zim Link Up Zambia team, Kae Chaps will not be participating in their event,” Kae Chaps management said in a statement.

“Despite repeated assurances that all arrangements were in place, we faced numerous delays and last-minute changes regarding our travel tickets. Initially promised on Wednesday, the date was shifted to Thursday morning, then to afternoon, and finally, we were told to go to the airport with no confirmed arrangements.

“Subsequent claims of tickets being booked for Friday morning were never fulfilled.”

Kae Chaps' management believes the artist's name was used in bad faith to attract fans to the event.

"It's clear that there was no genuine intention for us to be part of the event, and instead, our name was exploited for marketing purposes,” the statement further reads.

“This behaviour is both unacceptable and disappointing. We will not consider working with Zim Link Up Zambia in the future and advise others to be cautious.”
