MIDLANDS province has produced some of the country’s best artists, but lags behind on the showbiz scene, says musician Albert Mudar Muchinguri.

In a recent interview Mudar, who is releasing his third album soon, bemoaned lack of support for Midlands province.

“We have the best to choose from at any given time,” Mudar said.

“Midlands has the best quality and finest music producers. It is just like a fruit tree which gives the best every season.

“Our music producers compete with none when it comes to mastering from vocal to sound, moreover they have the international flavour everyone is looking for.”

Titled Tovaendera, Mudar said the forthcoming album reflects on his music career.

“The forthcoming 10-track album is a celebration of my seven years of experience in the music industry,” he said.

“The project was recorded by Zimbabwe's finest producers namely Rox, Dj Smart, Flames and Dj Teribho.

“Tell me who can challenge these expendables in the country when it comes to music, the only possible would be other producers from Gweru such as Tony G, Tamuka and Oskid."

He lamented that Harare has the financial power to lure anyone.

Mudar rose to fame when he released a chain of hit singles that include Basa Ibasa (2016) produced by Oskid, Kuzvida (2018) produced  by Cymplex, Magaivha (2019) ft Empress Masina produced by DJ Mombezi 2019

In 2020 he released a single titled Ndandi which was produced by Oskid followed by Pfumvu in 2021.

DJ Tamuka did the production on the single Ndanakirwa, which Mudar released last year.
