UNITED STATES-based Cindy Munyavi has joined the trending Amapiano sound with the release of a new song dubbed A Stitch in time.
The song is themed around the old proverb- a stitch in time saves nine, which means that if one solves a problem while it is developing, one will save oneself time and work in the future. It alludes to the art of sewing.
"The song is a party starter. A Stitch in Time is more than just a catchy tune, it’s a rallying cry to live in the moment and not let opportunities slip through your fingers," says the song description on YouTube.
It's also ironic that Cindy is also living in the musical moment and grabbing opportunities by trying out new sounds like Amapiano, which is now a global sound.
Cindy's electrifying vocals blending with the catchy and groovy Amapiano beat is expected to send pacesetters on the dance floor.
Cindy’s fans are called the Pacesetters.
Meanwhile, in a Facebook post, Cindy revealed that she has clocked 19 years in the music industry, chronicling her early days at the height of urban grooves.
“I am an urban contemporary musician, I started recording in 2004 and the first time I was played on radio and was on Power FM,” she posted.
“My first song to be played on radio was titled Staera.
“I composed and sung the chorus; the song belonged to Ex-Q and featured myself and Leonard Mapfumo.
“I am forever grateful to these two brothers of mine for that stepping stone, ndaitangira papi nhai?
“I was just a teenager with a dream and Take Fizzo was our producer.
“Staera was featured on Ex-Q’s first album titled Exquisite, which featured tracks like Mazirudo and Ndichakutevera.”
