Gospel musician Rose Mambo has released visuals of her song Nzira Yangu as part of her birthday celebrations today.
Shot in Harare, the video, which was directed by Kmane, features the Methodist Church in Zimbabwe Trinity Society Ruwadzano.
Nzira Yangu's video was released at 12 noon on Mambo’s YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/@RoseMambo.
The fashion-savvy told Standard Style that she thrives to give all her productions, especially videos the necessary creativity that they deserve.
“I try to bring out the message of what the song is talking about in my videos,” she said.
“With Nzira Yangu, I did not follow a storyline as such, but since I am talking about trying to find light in my path, I had to invite the Methodist Church in Zimbabwe Trinity society Ruwadzano to feature in the video to bring out the aspect of having the Christian community around you during your moments of weakness.”
She said this could be one of her best productions although she still believes in her 2020 project titled Lujulile (The Deepest Love) where she featured Emelda Tshuma.
“As an artiste, I always strive to outdo myself and do better than my previous productions,” she said.
“However, the audience will always have their own preferences, but I still have fans who still refer to my 2020 production Lujulile as the best.
“I, however, feel that Nzira Yangu is a unique production as it also carries Jah Prayzah’s creativity as he helped in writing of the song.
“It, therefore, becomes different from my other productions in that it fuses my creativity together with Jah Prayzah’s.”
Mambo believes in the power of social media and all other forms of media in pushing her brand and publicising her music.
“The last project was titled Bambelela, a song that I did with a South Africa-based producer whom I had not met in person,” she said.
“It fared well and also did well on regional channels such as Trace Gospel.”
DJ Tamuka produced the song, which was recorded at JP Studios and released in August.
