AFTER the success of his last album Nharo nezvine Nharo, Sungura ace Mark Ngwazi has announced that he will be releasing a new album soon.
“The time I have been waiting for is here. The album Bhazi haritsike ari mugomo is ready,” he said in a Facebook post.
The Njanja Express frontman rose to stardom with his last album which got him awards at the ZIMA awards.
The album also created mixed feelings amongst fans comparing Ngwazi to Macheso after the release of the chart-topping fifth album Nharo nezvine Nharo.
However both artistes on separate occasions quashed the supposed tiff, with Ngwazi saying he was in no competition with his mentor.
“Music is not a competition, we need to complement each other in our different natures. There are no castles and thrones in music, we should not fight over thrones that do not exist,” said Ngwazi in an interview with Standard Style.
At one of his performances in Warren Park, Macheso quashed the beef and introduced Tendai Ngwazi (Mark’s brother ) as his relative.
Tendai had made a cameo appearance on stage whilst Macheso was performing, Macheso gave him a moment to play his guitar.
“This is Tindo (Tendai), Mark's brother. Him and Mark are my in-laws, I married close to their homestead in Njanja which is their home village. That’s where Amai Shero comes from, that makes the Ngwazi brothers my in-laws, we have no bad blood,” he said.
