HERENTALS FC maintained their purple patch by picking up their second win on the trot, securing a comfortable victory against Cranborne Bullets at Nyamhunga Stadium yesterday.

Barely a week after edging Simba Bhora at Mandava, Herentals put in another solid display as they were clearly the better team on the day.

The students dominated the entire first half as they made a dream start by breaking the deadlock in the second minute through a well placed strike from the hardworking Prince Chama.

They doubled their lead in the 20th minute from the speedy Davison Marowa who weaved past the Cranborne Bullets defenders before hitting the target.

The second half turned to be good for Bullets as they soon found their passing range, but unfortunately failed to penetrate the away team's defence.

Herentals coach Kumbirayi Mutiwekuziva applauded his boys for the positive attitude they displayed during the contest.

"We had a good day in the office and this is our second win following another win at Mandava last week.I think we had a good break necessitated by lack of stadiums in Harare," Mutiwekuziva said.

"Considering that we won last week and this week, this is good for us. It looks like we are now good on the road and this gives us confidence to continue marching as a team."

Bullets head coach Nesbert Saruchera attributed the loss to fatigue.

"I put much blame on fatigue," said Saruchera.

"Last week we were in Triangle and today we are here, which is supposed to be a home game for us. We didn't have enough time to recover and the fatigue cost us big time."
