One wonders what really matters in life. Do you know that God has assigned a purpose to each of us? Whether we find ourselves in engineering, medicine, accounting, or any other profession, God has strategically placed us in our fields to showcase His glory. However, many individuals in those fields have become lost in personal pursuits and have been blinded to their true identity.
While listening to Apostle Joseph Ziba from Malawi this weekend, I found myself asking many questions. His message focused on what he termed "Kings and Thrones" and emphasized that each person has a domain and should function in that domain as a king.
He began his teaching by emphasizing that God sits in the heavens, referencing scripture from Psalm 103:19, which says, “The Lord has prepared His throne in the heavens, and His kingdom rules over all.” You will notice that the kingdom of God truly reigns over all the kingdoms because His throne is exalted above all other thrones.
To be seated on a throne spiritually means having control over the affairs of that realm. You can have a good job but yet struggle financially. You might notice that there are different teachers within the same industry, all with the same qualifications—some are financially secure, while others are struggling. This disparity occurs because, although they are all teachers, they have established their spiritual thrones on different reallms within that domain. Similarly, one can be a pastor but not occupy the domain of ministers within their realm.
When you understand that God has given you a domain, you must take your position of authority in that domain to become the person of influence that God has called you to be. I started by showing you that many people are in pursuit of bread and are blinded to the greater purpose of life, which is to live in dominion in the domains God has assigned to you as a ruler.
Do you know that many fail to understand that God has called them to bring forth His purpose in each sphere of influence? God has called you not only as a leader to the people but as someone who executes His plans and purposes on the earth. The question is, do you understand that you are not just a mere human being but someone who is meant to live as one who recognizes their domain and should operate with authority within it?
The man of God referred to something interesting regarding Paul. He mentioned that Paul was not eloquent in speech; his strength was not in speaking. That’s why he said, “When I came, I came not in excellence of speech but in the demonstration of power.” When you understand your strengths, you can have authority in the place God has called you to. The biggest challenge in your specific domain can be settled because, within your domain, you need to push yourself to grow. Do not be a person who is satisfied with the current level of authority. There is always a higher place to aspire to, and you should constantly strive to function in that domain while pushing beyond your current status or achievements.
This teaching personally challenged me to ask: Am I in control of the domain God has given me? What else should I do to grow within that domain so I can inherit other domains and spaces? I pray that God will awaken you to the domain He has called you to and enable you to have authority and function fully in what He has called you to. God bless you.
